The main purpose of the scheme is to ensure those with a hidden disability are able to discreetly let people know that they may need extra support, in busy environments such as supermarkets or train stations. You may have noticed the lanyards are being worn by many at the moment, but the scheme has long existed before the pandemic and is there all year round to support those that need it.
These lanyards can be difficult to access as supermarkets and the like had run out. However, more have been made available. Please use the following link to see the nearest pick up points.
